THE CAMEROON PEACE PROJECT is the true story of eighty-nine young people who risked their lives and their freedom to find common ground in the midst of Cameroon's bloody Anglophone Crisis, the teachers who stood by them, the parents who supported them, and the woman who made it her mission to help them find their voice in the din of war. Fraught with harrowing accounts of mass killings, government-sponsored torture, arms trafficking, and a narrowly thwarted kidnapping attempt, this foray into pedagogical game theory is a tribute to all who seek knowledge, serve justice, and speak their truth in the face of unimaginable persecution.

About the author

In addition to teaching subjects such as Humanitarian Assistance and Conflict Studies part-time, Cece is founder of the Global Justice Journal and the Center for Pedagogical Research in Saint Charles, IL. She holds a doctorate in social pedagogy, an MBA in negotiation & conflict management, and a BA in anthropology. Prior to launching the Global Justice Journal in 2020, Cece served for eight years as CEO of a global anti-trafficking organization that engaged in rescue activities and provided college scholarships to survivors. It was through this role that Cece recognized the inextricable connectedness between armed conflict and human slavery, both literal and figurative, and began developing an educational strategy to free young people from the transgenerational destruction of political and sociocultural propaganda. This strategy, which became known as pedagogical game theory, is featured in her new book, THE CAMEROON PEACE PROJECT.
