Diuretics and ACE inhibitors are drugs that can restore normal blood pressure in the case of hypertension and treat or compensate for cardiovascular disease in the case of decompensation. Their use is increasing. We undertook a study to analyze the prescribing of these products in the cardiology department of the Point-G UHC from January 2019 to December 2020. During this study 263 prescriptions and 9 prescribers were recorded. The study showed that the majority of prescriptions were made by cardiologists in 95.1% of cases. The male sex was the most represented with 52% of the cases. More than half of the drugs prescribed were diuretics with a rate of 54%. Captopril was the most frequently used molecule with 33% followed by furosemide with 26.7%. Effervescent tablets were prescribed in 1.1% of cases. A rate of 81% of the prescriptions contained other products associated with diuretics and/or ACE inhibitors was observed.
