The micro-encapsulation of the optimized essential oil mixture was successfully used to produce a product that can be used as a food additive or in the pharmaceutical industry for the manufacture of a food supplement or alicament of plant origin.The characterization of the microcapsule powder has shown that the essential oil has been successfully incorporated into the coating matrix designed by the wall material which is the maltodextrin and which represents a barrier allowing the protection of the active principle as well as the control of its release and to preserve the properties of the encapsulated essential oil during a long period.This powder of microcapsules of essential oil mixture can also be successfully used for medical purposes in capsules in order to remedy certain pathology notably for its antioxidant, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory virtues.
