Côte d'Ivoire is one of the main destination countries in West Africa. The high growth rate of the Ivorian population (2.6%) is partly due to immigration into the country. Despite the strong presence of immigrants in Côte d'Ivoire, their contribution to development remains unknown. It is therefore necessary to understand how immigrants contribute to the socio-economic development of their host area. The results of the analysis show that immigrants are active in development activities. They represent about 90% of the founders of small and medium-sized enterprises. However, there is a differential contribution between national migrants (internal migration) and international migrants (foreign migration).
