Der Ziegel ist weltweit ein allgegenwärtiger Baustoff, seine Produktion kann in einigen Ländern jedoch lebensgefährlich sein. Luca Catalano Gonzaga dokumentiert in seinem Fotoprojekt "Building bricks, killed by bricks" Ziegelfabriken in Afghanistan, Bangladesch, Indien und Nepal. Trotz internationaler Bestrebungen gegen die Ausbeutung von Kindern arbeiten dort weiterhin Kinder und Jugendliche unter prekären Umständen.
Brick is a ubiquitous building material worldwide, but in some countries its production can be extremely dangerous. In his photo project "Building bricks, killed by bricks" Luca Catalano Gonzaga documents brick factories in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India and Nepal. In spite of international efforts to stamp out the exploitation of children, there are still children and young people working there, sometimes under precarious circumstances.
