Study called "Legislative Decree 1278 and the right to live in a healthy and balanced environment in the district of Chepén, 2022"; its objective was to determine the relationship between Legislative Decree 1278 and the right to live in a healthy and balanced environment in the district of Chepén, 2022. The study was quantitative, basic, with a cross-sectional, non-experimental and correlational design. With a population of 78,418 inhabitants; the sample consisted of 382 citizens of Chepén, non-probabilistic convenience sampling. The survey technique was used and the instrument was a questionnaire. Finally, a direct correlation of moderate magnitude was determined between Legislative Decree 1278 and the right to live in a healthy and balanced environment (rs =.400). A moderate knowledge of Legislative Decree 1278 was evidenced in 59.2%, and in the right to live in a healthy and balanced environment in 85.9%. On the other hand, there was a direct relationship of very low magnitude between the rules and the right to live in a healthy and balanced environment (rs =.223) and with the classification (rs =.241), and a direct relationship of moderate magnitude with management (rs =.442).
