Informationen zum Autor Mark Stacey was born in Manchester, UK, in 1964 and has been a freelance illustrator since 1987. He has a lifelong interest in all periods of history, particularly military history, and has specialized in this area throughout his career. He now lives and works in Cornwall. ªRU-MOR was born in Tarragona, Spain, and studied Fine Arts at the University of Seville, specialising in artwork restoration, before moving onto a professional career in sculpting miniatures. As a freelancer illustrator, her artwork has appeared in French museum exhibitions, Spanish RPGs and card games (such as Adventures in the East Mark , Walküre , and Epica: Dark Ages ), and historical magazines, including Medieval Warfare and Desperta Ferro ’s Archaeology and History series, for which she also provides cover art. She has also worked with Osprey Games on a range of titles, including the Dracula's America and Frostgrave series. Daniel Mersey has spent more than three decades leading miniature armies to spectacular defeat on tabletop battlefields. He has won no medals and his armies will never salute him. Daniel has been writing books, gaming articles, and rulesets since the 1990s. His rulebooks for Osprey Publishing include two Origins Award-nominated titles, Lion Rampant and Dragon Rampant , and the UK Games Expo Judges’ Award-winning Rebels and Patriots (with Michael Leck). In 2021, Daniel was appointed as the University of Edinburgh’s first ever Games Designer in Residence. Klappentext Whether you're a nameless Dark Lord looking to conquer the known world, a Champion of Light holding out against the forces of evil or a Northern barbarian facing claimants to a stolen throne, Dragon Rampant allows you to bring those battles to the tabletop. Developed from the popular Lion Rampant system, Dragon Rampant is a standalone wargame that recreates the great battles of Fantasy fiction. Scenarios, army lists, and full rules for magic and monsters give players the opportunity to command unruly orc warbands, raise armies of the undead, campaign across an antediluvian world as the warchief of a barbarian tribe, or exploit the power of mighty creatures and extraordinary sorcery. An army usually consists of 6-8 units comprised of 6-12 individually based figures. These small units move and fight independently, assuming that they follow your orders rather than just doing their own thing. Command and control is just as important on the battlefield as the power of a troll chieftain or the magic of an archmage.A simple, fun and inexpensive wargames ruleset that allows players to fight fantasy battles on the tabletop.
