The maintenance of an adequate nutritional status is of great value for a better and faster recovery of patients, and not only that, good nutrition contributes to a better response to treatments, such as chemotherapy in oncologic patients. Considering the nutritional worsening of patients who use chemotherapy for the treatment of cancer, and based on this assumption, we conclude that it is essential to perform a good monitoring and nutritional intervention, if necessary, in such patients.
