Informationen zum Autor Sandra Guzmán is an award-winning writer, editor, and documentary filmmaker. She was the interviewer and a producer of the film Toni Morrison: The Pieces I Am , a critically acclaimed film about the art and life of her literary mentor. She is the author of the nonfiction feminist book The New Latina’s Bible. Her work explores identity, land, memory, race, sexuality, spirituality, culture, and gender. She was editor of Latina and Heart & Soul magazines. Her essays have been anthologized and her work has appeared in Audubon magazine, USA Today , and El Diario La Prensa and on PBS, Netflix, HBO, NBC News, CNN, and Telemundo, among other media outlets. She is an Afro-Indigenous Caribbean daughter born in Boriké, known popularly by its colonized name, Puerto Rico.
