The soil macrofauna under cultivation of 03 okra morphotypes (KG24-1, KG24-2 and KG24-3) was inventoried 60 days after sowing by the monolith method, standard TSBF (Tropical Soil Biology and Fertility). According to a three-treatment, three-repetition block design conducted at the Centre de Recherches Environnementales et Agricoles et de Formation de Kamboinsé of the Institut de l'Environnement et de Recherches Agricoles, the objective of the study was to investigate the diversity of soil macrofauna under morphotype crops and its relationship with seed production. For the soil macrofauna, 375 individuals belonging to 4 classes and 12 taxonomic groups were identified. A higher diversity of macrofauna under KG24-3 (H'=1.65) crops was identified compared to KG24-2 (H'=0.83) and KG24-1 (H'=1.12). Seeds of the morphotypes were evaluated by weighing with a precision balance. No significant difference was revealed between the production of the different morphotypes. Soil macrofaunal diversity also did not influence seed production of the different okra morphotypes.
