The focus of the book is on the peculiarities of a journalist's work in the process of making a documentary. The authors have also studied several TV journalistic genres, which most of all include elements of documentaries, and have put the focus on the specifics of the modern TV film. Attention was paid to the ethical and moral principles of the journalist acting in the role of the author of the documentary. Along with the theoretical part of the study, in the practical part the authors through their own film show the work done for 3 years. Their own documentary film shows how a future journalist can learn from his mistakes year after year, starting from simple reports and ending up with an authorial program, which contains many elements of documentaries.
