In the Republic of Belarus, the current international situation is assessed as unstable, combining both centrifugal and centripetal tendencies, with economic imbalances characteristic of them, and the unwillingness of world players to yield to their own national interests in favor of the common good. The trend toward an unbalanced system of checks and balances between rival states, the proliferation of regional conflicts and the involvement of new actors in them has become obvious to all. Under such conditions - a crisis of trust in the European region, in the broader Eurasian space and on a global scale - the demand for constructive dialogue and the development of compromises becomes especially relevant in international affairs. For the Belarusian side it means that today it is especially important for it to demonstrate resistance to unfavorable external factors and the ability to actively counteract and mitigate their impact. This can be achieved by pursuing a balanced multi-vector foreign policy aimed at the comprehensive protection of national interests and strengthening security. How is this task accomplished in practice? The answer is in this study.
