Neonatal sensorineural hearing loss is the most common sensory disability in newborns. Its prevalence and consequences make it a real public health problem. The WHO has been recommending systematic screening for this condition for more than 20 years. It is the result of an inner ear and/or auditory pathway damage occurring during the neonatal period. Its classification and etiology can be classified according to several categories. Rehabilitation of sensorineural hearing loss has two components: hearing aids and speech therapy.
