Jean-Louis JON (2002) defines alcohol as a "psychoactive substance. In high doses, it can be sedative or disruptive of the central nervous system. In the long term, it can have effects on certain vital organs, such as the liver, brain and stomach. In other words, excessive alcohol consumption (acute alcoholism) and alcohol dependence (chronic alcoholism) lead to multifunctional disorders such as psychological, physiological, genetic and social problems.
