This study addresses and exposes the advantages of companies when implementing strategies focused on the exploitation of resources provided by the Internet era, especially those belonging to the field of digital marketing. As there is a wide range of tools to take advantage of and considering the scope of this research, the general topics of websites, e-commerce and social networks are shown, optimization and Internet search engine marketing are also contemplated, the latter being those that will generate a greater impact on the daily activity of a business, as they are controllable and measurable, although they are also benefited by the first three points mentioned, thus forming an integral system.After analyzing the results, it is corroborated that the technologies previously discussed influence the positioning and sales of the companies about their products and services that need to be disseminated. In addition, greater knowledge is obtained about the behavior of Internet users in the search for information that serves to take measures regarding the management of promotions or budget.
