Cancer is a public health problem, the incidence is regularly increasing in the world and in Tunisia. Elderly subjects are particularly concerned, since it mainly affects their quality of life. The evaluation of quality of life seeks to establish the degree of satisfaction or dissatisfaction of the patient in different areas of life, somatic, psychological, and social, on the basis of functional capabilities and in reference to recognized values. The measurement of quality of life in the elderly cancer population is recognized as an important patient-reported outcome to complement the assessment of disease progression and treatment burden, toxicity, survival and mortality rates. As chronological age remains a very poor marker of the health status of this very heterogeneous population, a differentiated approach to each individual will allow to judge the appropriateness of a therapeutic proposal.
