About the author

Der Verfasser lehrte bis zu seiner Pensionierung im März 2010 englische Literatur- und Kulturwissenschaft an der Leibniz Universität Hannover. Zu seinen Forschungsgebieten gehört das Melodrama des 19. Jahrhunderts und die quantitativ statistische Dramenanalyse, deren Ergebnisse auf der Webseite Shakespeare Statistics zu finden sind.
