The ingenuity of the handyman at François Jacob - From the idea of a simple tinkerer to the reality of a genius molecular tinkerer

In reality, the process of natural selection is motivated, leading to the perfection and beauty of its works by cutting here and pasting there for structural and functional readjustment: it is a tinkerer of genius. Moreover, natural selection is not strictly a blind tinkerer, but because it has a purpose which is the perfection and beauty of its work, it leaves unsuspected a hidden and conscious intention.
