Nach Abschluss der 36 Textbände der Theologischen Realenzyklopädie im Jahr 2004 wird das Gesamtkorpus durch ein neu erstelltes Register erschlossen. Für biographische und geographische Recherchen wird damit ein einzigartiges Hilfsmittel geschaffen.
Das Gesamtregister besteht aus zwei Bänden:
Band I (Bibelstellen, Orte, Sachen - erschienen 2006), Band II (Namen).
Die Bände werden damit zu einem unverzichtbaren Werkzeug für die Erschließung aller in der TRE enthaltenen Texte.
