Youth sports teams in the United States have provided a record number of opportunities for youngsters to participate. Across the country forty-five million youth between the ages of six and eighteen participate in some form of organized sports. Seventy-five percent of all families in the United States have at least one child participating in youth sports. Seventy percent of these kids are quitting sports by age thirteen.

Coach Rick Keltner believes youth sports can and should be much better for all participants. With that belief, supported by his 116 seasons and 44 years of varsity high school coaching ,research and personal experience, he created the P.E.A.C.E. Process for youth sports. This plan involves organizing and working with the Peace Team which consists of the most important groups involved in youth sports: Parents, Educators, Athletes, Coaches, and Everyone else who cares.
