This well-established handbook presents integral logistics management as the management of the flow of goods, data and control along the comprehensive life cycle of products and services in both classical and service industries. About the author










Paul Schoensleben, 1952, studied Mathematics and Operation Research at ETH Zurich. He obtained a Ph.D. degree in 1980. Several years of responsibilities for computer and organization departments of industrial companies followed. In parallel, he developed and introduced a PPC package for product families with many variants used in practice until 2003. From 1983 to 1991, he was full professor for Business Informatics at the University of Neuchatel, Switzerland. Since 1991, he has been full professor for Industrial Engineering and Management at ETH Zurich, Switzerland, focusing on logistics, operations and supply chain management, global service management and service innovation. Being professor emeritus since 2017, he still is a member of several boards of directors. Paul Schönsleben is a member of the IFIP (International Federation of Information Processing) Working Group 5.7, "Production Management", and longtime member (until 2009) of the CPIM Committees, APICS Curricula and Certification Council, as well as of CIRP (until 2019).
