Il dottor Gérard YAOGO è stato ammesso al Diplôme d'Etudes Approfondies (D.E.A). Si è iscritto alla tesi di dottorato singolo nel 2017. Nel 2021 discuterà la sua tesi presso l'Università Joseph KI-ZERBO. Tutti i suoi lavori di ricerca si sono concentrati sulla musica burkinabé. Si è occupato rispettivamente di musica religiosa e di slam.
