This book is a foray into the wake of slam, a fairly recent musical genre on the African continent and in Burkina Faso. This book is about slam in all its splendor. When and how was this musical genre born? How did it evolve? How is it doing in the country of the Honest Men? Does it have many followers? This book answers these legitimate questions and takes the reader on a wonderful journey into the world of slam. It deals not only with the style of this musical genre but also with the themes addressed by the Burkinabe slammers, notably Donsharp de Batoro, Malika la slamazone and Ombr Blanch. Il dottor Gérard YAOGO è stato ammesso al Diplôme d'Etudes Approfondies (D.E.A). Si è iscritto alla tesi di dottorato singolo nel 2017. Nel 2021 discuterà la sua tesi presso l'Università Joseph KI-ZERBO. Tutti i suoi lavori di ricerca si sono concentrati sulla musica burkinabé. Si è occupato rispettivamente di musica religiosa e di slam.
