About the author
Michelle Robinson previously wrote copy for some of the world's biggest brands. Her picture books include Tooth Fairy in Training and Witch in Training, illustrated by Briony May Smith, The Pawed Piper, illustrated by Chinlun Lee, Isabelle and the Crooks and Planet Football, both illustrated by Chris Mould, and There’s a Lion in My Cornflakes, illustrated by Jim Field. Michelle lives in Nova Scotia, Canada with her husband, son and daughter. He studied Interior Design at Batley & Dewsbury Art College, then Graphic Design & Illustration at Leeds Polytechnic. A sublime draftsman with a penchant for the gothic, he has illustrated everything from picture books and young fiction, to theatre posters and satirical cartoons for national newspapers. His stunning reimagining of Ted Hughes’ The Iron Man was shortlisted for the Kate Greenaway Medal and shortlisted by Foyles’ for Book of the Year 2019. Chris lives in West Yorkshire.
