This study was initiated with the aim of inventorying the wild mammalian fauna of the Bulanga-mpey group, in the Mateko sector, in order to gather basic information on its exploitation and use. The field survey method supported by interviews and documentary research was used for this purpose. Information was obtained from 100 hunters over 20 years of age from a population of 8,000 individuals in this group. A total of 6,158 individuals belonging to 46 wild mammal species were harvested in 2021 for human consumption, traditional medicine and socio-cultural events.
