The insufficient communication between the different individual and social actors in Ecuador, in the course of its history, is not a reality alien to the present moment; the difference lies in the fact that Ecuadorian society today has acquired a certain awareness of its space and time thanks to the sciences, the study of culture and the civilizational changes linked to the processes of globalization and regionalization. This scenario urges all actors to make decisions regarding their destiny as a social collective, that is, on the one hand, to channel the need and possibilities to build their own cultural identity based on sustainable political, economic, social, environmental and technological processes or, on the other hand, the disintegration of the "social self" will definitely worsen, a situation that would make the existence of the Ecuadorian State unfeasible.
