Different tailings management techniques including cemented mine fill (CMF) are currently in use to properly dispose of hazardous process tailings. Tailings produced as a result of different chemical additives and methods during ore processing have harmful effects on the environment if no precautions are taken appropriately. This book investigates the influence of mill and dam tailings on geotechnics, geomechanics and microstructure of CMF materials considering the different recipes and curing times. Major savings are targeted by employing pulverized fly ash and blast furnace slag in diverse substitution ratios rather than expensive Portland cement used within CMF materials. The main outcomes of this book not only confirm the improved stability assessments of CMF structures, but also enables cost-effective and sustainable backfill designs. Besides, it can also significantly reduce the mining cycle times, thereby enhancing productivity. Tugrul Kasap, nato a Rize, Turchia, ha conseguito la laurea (con lode e prima classe) in Ingegneria civile presso l'Università tecnica di Erzurum (Erzurum, Turchia) nel 2020. Nel 2022 ha conseguito il Master in Ingegneria Civile presso l'Università Recep Tayyip Erdogan (Rize, Turchia) e attualmente sta svolgendo un dottorato di ricerca presso la stessa università.
