The province of Pasco has 13 districts, in which according to REINFO there are 1240 mining projects within the PPM and PMA categories, of which 21 are duly formalized, in general mining has impacts on the environment in the environmental components of water, air and soil. To determine this, water, air and soil monitoring was conducted at five mining projects in the province of Pasco. It was identified that the mining of the Artisanal Mining Producer (PMA) is not very significant due to the fact that it is extracted by artisanal methods and that it lasts for a short period of time. Finally, it was concluded that mining by the Small-scale Mining Producer (SPM) does have an influence on the environmental components because extraction is more technified, generating more water, air and soil contamination. Such are the cases of: Compañía minera Agregados Calcareos S.A.; Minera Anadel S.A.C.; Aurex S.A. and the Chintia Quarry two 2006. Each of them has significantly contaminated the aforementioned environmental components.
