About the author










Sonia Ortiz retired in 2017 after 51 years of teaching English in some of Panama's most highly regarded institutions. Born in the province of Chiriqui, Panama, she married and started a family in Colon in the early 1960s. Later moving to Panama City, she began her professional career educating hundreds of children and adults. She now resides in Winter Garden, Florida.
