Jingchu culture boasts several great classics of philosophy and literature, such as the Shanhai jing ( ), Daode jing ( ), Chu ci ( ) and Huainanzi ( ). This book focuses on the intercultural communication of the Chu ci and Huainanzi from several perspectives, and it is the product of the project entitled "Research on the Intercultural Dissemination of Chu Culture". Some well-known translations of the two classics are analyzed in light of Eco-translatology, Medio-translatology, textual metafunction, and intertextuality theory. These studies are aimed at promoting the intercultural communication of Jingchu culture.

About the author

Dr. Chuanmao Tian is Professor of English at Yangtze University located in Hubei, China and Director of the Centre for Translation Studies of the university. He has published dozens of articles on translation and intercultural studies in Babel, LANS-TTS, Perspectives, Across Languages and Cultures, and so on.
