A story that was set in motion by Little Women. Jo Bhaer, formerly Jo March, is devoted to the children of Plumfield. She and her husband, Fritz, co-direct this school and nursery. Their dedication allows readers to fully grasp the importance of an honest education for a more humane society. Louisa May Alcott's classic is a constant reminder of our struggles and victories to provide access to education for all.

About the author

Louisa May Alcott opted to venture into two very different genres. In one, she created worlds of traditional values, like Little Women and Joe's Boys. In the other she ventured into the romantic realm and published under the pseudonym A.N. Barnhard. She also published the more adult themed novel, A Modern Mephistopheles (1875).
