It is evident factor that Co-ordination chemistry has significant applications in the field of emerging trends of inorganic chemistry research. It is mainly the chemistry of Schiff Bases and its metal complexes has fascinated and inspired the chemists all the global level. Particularly, in the field of Inorganic Chemistry Research, Transition metal complexes with various types of ligands gained importance in numerous applied fields. Significantly, Schiff base ligands have played key role as chelating ligand, due to their stability under a variety of oxidative and reductive conditions. Schiff bases are versatile organic compounds which are widely used and synthesized by condensation reaction of different amino compound with aldehydes or ketones known as imine. Schiff base ligands are considered as privileged ligands as they are simply synthesized by condensation. The complexing ability of Schiff bases also termed as imines(C=N) is well established by several authors.

Dr SHABANA PALYAM graduated from Sri Venkateswara University in Tirupathi with BSc in chemistry in 2010. She has completed her MSc in Organic chemistry in 2013 from Vikrama Simhapuri University Nellore. She has received her PhD in Inorganic chemistry from Sri Krishnadevaya University in 2022, under the supervision of Prof K. Sudhakar Babu.
