With my loving companion Cavit as my guide, I had an unforgettable adventure that made me fall in love with Istanbul immediately, but especially with Burgaz, one of the islands in the group of the Prince Islands. My reflections about daily events during my summers there helped me appreciate and love the island and its people. This idea of compiling all the writings helped me close a chapter in my life, process Cavil's death and share my gratitude for this time spent in paradise. This work would not be complete without including Cavil's memories of Burgaz since he spent his childhood and youth here. This is my way of paying tribute to him and sharing his stories with the world.
