The rapid development of ports and the strong growth of world trade are driving the dramatic increase in the flow of goods. This situation also requires a large number of truckers, key players in the evacuationof the goods. Facilities reserved for these truckers facilitate their parking and guarantee their safety. However, in the city of Abidjan and its port, truckers occupy spaces that are not dedicated to them. It is in this context that this thesis entitled: "Spatial behavior of truckers in the face of the constraints of the port of Abidjan". This study aims to determine the explanatory factors of abnormal parking of truckers. It appears from this study that the spatial behavior of truckers is motivated by various reasons. Specifically, the study found that the behavior of truckers near the Port of Abidjan or in the port is guided by fleet management policy and security considerations, while the behavior of truckers far from the port is guided by spatial conditions related to vehicle parking.
