Research in the biomedical area demands a large number of laboratory animals with specific biological characteristics and in the opportunity requested by the researcher. The Cuban Society of Laboratory Animal Science was established to oversee the care and use of experimental animals in Cuba. The SCCAL conducts evaluations based on its own guidelines. Graduated in 2013 as Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Central Marta Abreu de las Villas, Master in Advanced Animal Health, Head of Biotherium. Associate Researcher and Assistant Professor, project manager and specialist in experimental surgery and animal biomodels.
