About the author

Dave Young is an investment advisor, business owner, and entrepreneur. After starting a dozen successful businesses, Dave sold them and set out to invest the profits. When he couldn't find an investment company he trusted with his hard-earned money, Dave's entrepreneurial spirit kicked in and he decided to do it himself. Today, Dave is the founder and president of Paragon Wealth Management, an investment firm that manages approximately $150 million for 160 households and growing. Paragon's success has attracted local and national media attention.
Dave has a deep commitment to community service and philanthropy. In 2010, he co-founded the Live Your Dream Foundation to provide scholarships to single mothers. In 2021, Dave was elected mayor of Orem, Utah, a rapidly growing city of more than 100,000 people. Dave is also a big game hunter who has travelled from Alaska to Africa. Through his lifelong pursuit of adventure and excellence, Dave has learned that the valuable parallels between financial investing and big game hunting can help everyone, hunter or not, find true wealth-a genuinely happy, fulfilling, and financially abundant life.
Dave is a husband, father, and grandfather. His family is his greatest treasure.
