Each species showed difference in all aspects as they differ in size, diameter, aperture etc., Also different groups of compounds were identified from each plant sample. With the morphological characters of pollen the monocot members can be easily identified. All three species of pollens consists of more alkanes, few fatty acids and other organic compounds. The same protocol for acid treatment of pollen can be used to study the ultrastructure of pollens like polarity, sculpture, intine, sexine and ornamentations under different fields.
