Collected in this book are a series of essays that illustrate Josep Lluís Sert's thought in relation to the integration between architecture and art and his relationship to notable figures in the art world, such as Joan Miró, Alexander Calder, and Pablo Picasso. The essays are preceded by a conversation with Sert about his personal and professional trajectory and a transcript of his talk at a symposium held at the Museum of Modern Art in 1951. These texts center the main ideas that will in time become representative of Sert's work.
