An MBBS from Nil Ratan Sircar Medical College, Calcutta, MD in Community Medicine from Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, and Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in Maternal and Child Health, she has excellent academic credentials.
