About the author

Clare You is Lecturer in the Department of East Asian Languages at the University of California, Berkeley. In 2003 she was awarded the Korean National Silver Medal of Culture for her work in the advancement of Korean culture, including language texts and translations. Eunsu Cho is Assistant Professor in the Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

Summary

This companion text to "College Korean" intends to enable students to continue their development of Korean language skills and enrich their understanding of Korea. Because language is a fundamental component of culture, the book covers themes relating to Korea's cultural customs and social issues.
