Der The Charlatans-Sänger Tim Burgess verbrachte für die Aufnahmen seines neuen Albums einen Monat gemeinsam mit Thighpaulsandra und Daniel O'Sullivan im Studio. Ersterer ist der Keyboarder und Produzent, der schon mit Coil, Julian Cope und Spiritualized arbeitete. Letzterer ist der Ex-Grumbling Fur Multi-Instrumentalist, der bereits Platten auf Burgess Label O Genesis veröffentlicht hat und zudem Mitglied seiner Live-Band.
"Typical Music" ist ein 22-Track-Doppelalbum, mit Songs die ebenso umfangreich wie vielfältig sind.
