Humans are continually influenced by others: looks, words, behaviors, reactions, etc. Trying to cut oneself off from this influence that others can have on oneself is very risky in a visible world like ours. The gaze of others can intimidate, destabilize and prevent us from being fully ourselves. Fear of judgment is a natural psychological mechanism that is quite normal since we cannot live alone. Self-esteem is built from early childhood and is conditioned in part by what the primary environment sends back to us, because we are totally dependent and victims of it. This early image received from the environment will be confirmed according to our encounters and experiences. The lower my self-confidence is, the more the other's gaze will be experienced as dangerous or severe. In this book, you will have the opportunity to understand this annoyance of the other in the influence of our daily life. However, how to give less importance to the look of the other? Should we deprive ourselves of new encounters with this other person? To think to know the thoughts of the other is to deny a part of its individuality?
