About the author
Yang Geng: Anhui University (BA in Philosophy 1982), Renmin University of China (MA and PhD in Philosophy 1991), previously professor of philosophy at Renmin University of China, and Vice Chancellor of Beijing Normal University (BNU), currently he is professor of philosophy at BNU. Concurrently, he is also the leader of the discipline (Philosophy) appraisal group of the State Council's Academic Degrees Committee, member of the Social Science Committee at the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, and the Deputy Director of the Chinese Institute of Marx-Engels Studies.
He has published more than 200 articles and 20 books, most representative of which include
