The region of 25 de Março Street is of great importance for the city of São Paulo, either for its history, or for its vocation for commerce and for its geographical location. In the popular imaginary, when we talk about 25 de Março Street, it immediately comes to people's minds the image of shopping on commemorative dates, street vendors and peddlers everywhere, stores with a diversity of products and, mainly, excellent prices, compared to other places of commerce in the city. The following study seeks to emphasize the importance of paying attention to mobility in the region, in order to facilitate the flow of pedestrian and vehicle traffic, especially to improve pedestrian mobility, and thereby increase the commercial potential and tourist attraction of the region. From a historical reading, observation of the elements responsible for characterizing the site and application of technical knowledge, an intervention suggestion will be presented aiming to achieve improvements in access and circulation of pedestrians in the region without obstructing the fluidity of local traffic.
