Was Sub-hoofdcellist in het LPO; speelde met Philharmonia en Karajan, RPO met Beecham. Directeur bij Sadler's Wells, Liverpool, NZ en Sydney. Solist BBC, ABC, RNZ. Speelde concerti in Engeland en NZ. Oprichter St Martin in the Fields.
