"Body in the Bay is the third book in the Mark Daniels Mystery Series. And it establishes Justin Maxwell (A/K/A Skip Kadar) as a mystery writer worth serious attention. Trust me, you'll like it!"
- Nick Teranzi, Seattle Book Journal

Retired newspaper reporter Mark Daniels and his wife Sherry, enjoy their annual 4-month escape from Upper Michigan's brutal winter in the Florida Keys. Mark lives an idyllic life in paradise; sitting in the sun on his balcony overlooking Florida Bay and working on his second novel. But when he goes out for a boat ride he discovers a body floating in Florida Bay. He becomes involved in trying to figure out how the body ended up in the Bay and in the process meets several local characters all with reason to see the victim dead. Mark and Sherry's calm winter vacation on the tropical islands ends up with their lives in danger while Marks chases a murderer through paradise.

About the author

Wayne "Skip" Kadar writes fictional pieces under the name Justin Maxwell so as not to muddy the waters for readers of his non-fiction Great Lakes regional books. Mr. Kadar taught at the high school level for several years then became a high school principal. After 16 years a principal Skip retired from education. In retirement he worked as a harbor master at a marina on the Great Lakes and researched and wrote eight historically factual books about the Great Lakes region; books about ships that now lie on the bottom of the freshwater seas.
