About the author
Miriam Matthews was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. During her childhood, she enjoyed being adventurous and exploring the outdoors! She has always been a nurturer and genuinely cares about others. As a child, she experienced various types of trauma, including sexual trauma, but she did not notice its impacts until years later. She faced challenges with insecurities and developed a keen awareness of other people's reactions toward her. She developed associations at a very young age that guided how she would interact with people and the world. Miriam developed Rules of Engagement that influenced her positively and negatively in public and private settings. Nevertheless, when Miriam turned 30 years old, something changed within her. She felt like her state of being was mediocre, and it caused so much frustration within herself that she was going to implode like a volcano. Miriam went through multiple processes in God, of exposing every lie that the enemy had been telling her for years, which allowed her to begin to ground herself in the truth of who God was calling her to be. Miriam now has a successful therapy practice and Christian Coaching Business for Professional Christian Women seeking purpose! God has shown His mighty hand in her life, and Miriam is thrilled to share His gospel, her story, and continues to answer His call to go higher in Him!
