This book presents an approach to the Experimental Teaching of Chemistry applied to high school students at the Colégio de Aplicação of the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco. To accomplish this approach, a correlation was made between the study of subjects commonly taught in high school, such as the study of gases, stoichiometric calculations, gas laws, studies of dispersions, periodic properties, chemical bonds and polarity of molecules to the concepts of computational chemistry. Using the model of experimental classes, a way to introduce the concepts worked in class related to the modeling of molecules and evaluating the impact of using computer software as a tool for teaching and learning chemistry was proposed, starting with the construction of 3D molecules and the calculation of their thermodynamic properties using software such as ArgusLab, MOPAC and Avogadro.
