About the author

Samuel L. Montgomery is a scientist who was born and raised in Mt. Vernon Washington, and keeps mostly to himself and his family. He enjoys walks in the park at dusk or in the rain with his pipe that he does not smoke, but keeps because it makes him feel intellectual. He has always been obsessed with great stories about friendship, and struggle no matter how simple or complex they may be. He obtained his bachelor's degree in chemistry from Central Washington University, and has since changed his focus away from the scientific to the rich and joyous world of creative writing.
