La Poste du Louvre, inaugurée en 1888, a été imaginée par son architecte, Julien Guadet, comme un lieu voué à évoluer pour s'adapter aux réalités et besoins de son temps.
Les réhabilitations engagées par Dominique Perrault Architecture en 2016 ont permis de métamorphoser ce site patrimonial avec l'ambition d'en faire un véritable lieu de vie et de services. Le nouvel édifice accueille des usages mixtes, intégrant commerces, espaces de restauration et d'hôtellerie, ainsi que les espaces de bureaux du nouveau siège social de Louvre Banque Privée conçus par l'agence CALQ.
Installé au premier étage, sur une vaste surface de 8 500 m2, le nouvel aménagement répond autant à la qualité du programme architectural qu'aux besoins de ses usagers. Par sa sobriété et son insertion légère, ce projet traduit toute l'attention portée à la dimension architecturale de l'édifice élégamment aménagé.
The Poste du Louvre, which was inaugurated in 1888. was designed by its architect, Julien Guadet, as a place that would evolve in order to adapt to the realities of its time.
In 2016, the rehabilitation carried out by architect Dominique Perrault transformed this historic building with a view to making it into a genuine living and working environment providing a range of services. The revisited building is now a mixed-use venue including a post office, a five-star hotel and housing, as well as the new head office of Louvre Banque Privée with interior design by the Paris firm CALQ.
On the first floor, occupying 8,500 square metres, this new office space meets exacting high-end standards and is designed to foster user wellbeing. Its sleek design and lightness of touch reflects the careful attention paid to the architectural dimension of the historic building it occupies.
