About the author










Gerhard Wanner studied biology at Ludwigs Maximilian University in Munich (Germany), where he obtained his habilitation in 1992 and is now an Emeritus Professor of Ultrastructural Analysis at the Institute of Botany.
His main research interest is the analysis of chromosomes using scanning electron microscopy. He is the author of a highly successful textbook on plant microscopy (in German language).
